About DONUTS
“This Aint Retro, This Is Throwback”
——————————
“DONUTS” is THE HOTTEST monthly THROWBACK urban music PARTY, brought to you by BEDSTY MUSIC.PARTIES.DESIGN & Dbl O.
It harkens back to the legendary BLOCK PARTIES where DJ Kool Herc laid the foundation for HIP HOP & R&B today.
The night will feature 3 DJs & 1 MC, laying down all your favourite Old School Hip Hop & R&B (circa 1970s-1990s), with a trace of Funk, Soul and Reggae, followed by anything that resembles, mimics, or pays homage to the OLD SCHOOL.
And dont be surprised if your local B Boys start windmillin through the dance floor!
Wildfire Festival on Halloween weekend
October 10th, 2011Singapore’s wildest music and arts festival cum full tilt party event. Presented by BBX Singapore, this year would be our first year doing this and we are starting it out with a big bang!
Visualise Fort Canning Park ablaze with fire sculptures and fire artists, a stage pumping with 20 piece mega rock circus The Mutaytor (US) along with Wicked Aura Batucada (SG), Sixx (SG), Sonofa (SG), Gammarays (SG) and random RayRay (US) roaming around.
Wildfire Festival is a full involvement event fostering artistic collaboration and exchange between artists and audience. There will be open fire and light play areas, interactive art installations and painting areas.
More than a music festival this is a multidisciplinary assault on the sense turning audience into participants and pushing the mantra that mainstream commercial and artistically compelling need not be mutually exclusive.
Wildfire Festival is mainly organized by Wildfire Entertainment.

Recognize! Studios opens officially 10th July
June 29th, 2010Having heard Felix speak about this idea months ago, its finally coming to fruition. Recognize! Studios finally open!
You probably wouldn’t have noticed otherwise since they’ve been actively running around keeping word on the street with pre-opening specials, a civil “protest” to recognize the scene, and garage sales!
They have a slew of exciting activities and dance classes to kick things off – more info here
But in the meantime, here’s a snapshot of the dynamic and creative bunch that will drive Recognize! forward.
Super stuff.
